UNC Greensboro continued its strong postseason form with a 2–0 victory over Mercer in the Southern Conference Tournament semifinal. The Spartans struck early through Téva Lossec, who buried a close-range chance to give UNCG the lead within the opening minutes.
Mercer pushed for an equalizer throughout the first half, but UNCG’s defensive organization held firm. After the break, the Spartans doubled their advantage when Arnaud Tattevin finished off a well-worked attacking move, sealing the two-goal cushion and effectively closing the door on Mercer’s comeback hopes.
The semifinal win capped off a strong run of form for UNCG, who also closed their regular season with a commanding 3–0 victory. With momentum on their side, the Spartans now turn their focus to the SoCon Tournament final as they look to finish the campaign with silverware.
