FOXBOROUGH, MA — The New England Revolution showcased their skills to beat CF Montreal 3-0, employing both effective attack and good defense to register their first shutout in the ongoing 2026 season.
The New England Revolution began the game strongly by taking control of the ball and applying heavy pressure. The pressure resulted in Luca Langoni scoring for the team, completing the play well from the attack line.
The home team continued to pile the pressure and extended their lead through the goal scored by Peyton Miller, which put the opposition under pressure before the half-time break.
However, the Revolution managed to score again in the second half and secure a three-goal victory by scoring a third goal. Their ability to move around in attack was causing Montréal’s defense great difficulties.
As far as their defensive play was concerned, Mamadou Fofana was at his best as he marshalled his teammates to shut down Montréal’s attempts on goal. The goalkeeper, Matt Turner, was required to make five saves in total during the game.
Overall, New England delivered an excellent team performance to record their first shutout of the season along with securing a comprehensive victory.
