Chicago Fire beat Atlanta United 1-0 at Soldier Field, and really, the game was settled almost before it got going. M. Haile-Selassie scored in the 13th minute after Chicago started brighter and looked the more dangerous side. After that, Atlanta had a lot of the ball, but it felt a bit empty at times. They moved forward, kept trying, had spells of pressure too, yet never found that final touch. Chicago’s defense stayed organized and didn’t give much away. Atlanta pushed hard late on, but nothing came from it. Not the prettiest win maybe, but Chicago won’t care. Three points is three points.
